Crazy Time at VegasNow: the wheel, the bets and the maths

Crazy Time is the Evolution game show in our live-casino lobby: a presenter, a 54-segment money wheel, four bonus games and a Top Slot that can put up to 50× on one bet spot each round. This page follows a round from countdown to settlement, prices each kind of bet in dollars, and shows what the wheel does, and does not do, for a bonus balance, your loyalty points and your budget.

Read the RTP row carefully. Evolution quotes a range because the long-run return is not the same for every way of betting on the wheel. Neither end of that range describes what one evening will look like.

How a Crazy Time round runs, step by step

Rounds repeat in a fixed rhythm, which makes the game easy to follow once you have watched two or three.

1. Chips down

A countdown opens the betting grid. Every number on the wheel has its own spot, and so does each of the four bonus games. Back one spot or several; each is a separate bet carrying its own stake.

2. Top Slot fires

Before the main spin, Top Slot picks out one bet spot for the round and attaches a multiplier of up to 50× to it. That multiplier only comes into play if the big wheel then lands on the same spot.

3. The presenter spins

The wheel settles on exactly one of its 54 segments. A number result pays the bets on that number at its odds, and every other stake on the grid is collected.

4. Bonus round, if one is hit

When the wheel lands on a bonus game, everyone holding a stake on that bonus spot plays the round, and its result is applied to that stake. Stakes on the numbers and on the three other bonus spots lose.

The game also keeps a history panel of recent results. Evolution's own rules say previous spins do not predict the next one, so read that panel as a diary of what happened, never as a hint about what comes next.

Crazy Time bet types on VegasNow, with worked numbers

There are just two kinds of bet spot, plus one modifier that sits over the top of them.

Number spots

A number bet wins when the wheel stops on that number and is paid at the odds shown for that spot in the game. If Top Slot has landed on your number, its multiplier is applied to the win.

Bonus spots

Backing Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko or Crazy Time earns you a place in that round if the wheel stops there. Your return is settled inside the round, and the Crazy Time bonus carries the highest published ceiling, 20,000×.

Top Slot

Not something you bet on. It is a multiplier, as high as 50×, that lands on one spot per round and has no value at all unless that spot then wins.

Three examples

A$0.50 on the Crazy Time spot. Suppose the wheel stops on Crazy Time and the bonus round reaches its published ceiling of 20,000×. Fifty cents would return A$10,000. That is the very top of Evolution's figures, not a likely outcome. On most spins the wheel lands somewhere else and the fifty cents is gone.

A$2 on each of the four bonus spots. That spread costs A$8 a round, exactly the bonus-play ceiling. Since only one segment can come up, the best case is that one A$2 stake enters its bonus round while the other A$6 is collected. If a number comes up instead, all A$8 is lost.

A 50× Top Slot on a spot that misses. Top Slot puts 50× on a number you backed with A$1.50, then the wheel stops elsewhere. The A$1.50 is lost and the 50× vanishes with it, because multiplying a losing bet still gives nothing.

What the published Crazy Time figures mean in dollars

The RTP range as a cost

A return of 94.41% to 96.08% means that, averaged over an enormous number of rounds, every A$1,000 put through the game comes back as somewhere between A$944.10 and A$960.80. Turned around, the average cost of A$1,000 of action falls between A$39.20 and A$55.90. A single session can sit far from those figures in either direction; the range describes millions of rounds, not your evening.

The 20,000× ceiling and the bonus cash-out limit

A big result does not step outside the bonus rules. While a deposit bonus is in play, the winnings you can take from that offer stop at A$5,000, and anything above it may be forfeited. A A$1 Crazy Time bet that reached the 20,000× ceiling would show A$20,000 on screen, yet with a welcome stage running, only A$5,000 of it could leave as cash from that offer. Without a bonus attached, that particular cap does not apply, although our withdrawal limits and instalment rules still decide how a large balance is paid out.

How Crazy Time counts toward VegasNow bonus wagering

For bonus purposes our general terms class Crazy Time as a game show, and game shows add 10% of each stake to the wagering counter. Live blackjack shares that rate; roulette adds 25%, pokies outside the exceptions list 100%, and baccarat nothing. Since the welcome package can be played in the casino and the live casino, Crazy Time is allowed. Each A$1 on the wheel is worth ten cents of progress.

2nd, 100% match (VEGAS2)A$100A$100A$4,000A$40,0005,000

Spread over the seven-day window, even the A$50 example works out to about 536 rounds at A$8 every day. On an eligible pokie, the same A$3,000 requirement is met by A$3,000 of spins; on the wheel it takes ten times as much.

The stage terms still sit alongside: the A$8 ceiling, a seven-day life, no second bonus while one is open, a A$300 limit on winnings from welcome free spins, and our account rule that each deposit is played through three times before related funds can be withdrawn.

Keeping a VegasNow Crazy Time spread under A$8

With a bonus on your account, A$8 is the most you may stake. On a wheel with many spots, the safest reading is to keep the combined stake for the round, across every spot you cover, at or below A$8. The grid makes it easy to drift over, because several quick taps add up before you notice.

SpreadStake per spotRound totalUnder the A$8 ceiling?
A single numberA$8A$8Yes

All four bonus spots and two numbersA$2 eachA$12No, A$4 too much
All four bonus spots, heavierA$3 eachA$12No, A$4 too much

However you divide it, a A$8 round adds A$0.80 to wagering, because the contribution is worked out on the total staked. Covering more spots makes it likelier that one of them is hit, but the round still costs A$8 and still moves the counter by eighty cents.

Why Crazy Time is a slow road to clearing a VegasNow bonus

The 10% rate sets the distance and the wheel sets the speed. Each round brings a betting window, a Top Slot spin, the main spin and sometimes a bonus round, and the seven-day timer keeps running through all of it. At A$0.80 of progress per maximum round, even the small A$50 example asks for 3,750 rounds inside a week.

The RTP range adds a second cost. Using Evolution's published figures, putting A$30,000 through the wheel to clear a A$75 bonus carries a long-run average cost of between A$1,176 and A$1,677, many times the bonus itself. Short sessions can land anywhere, but over that much play the average works heavily against the bonus being worth it.

That leaves two sensible routes. If the wheel is what you came for, decline the bonus, which our general terms permit; the 40× requirement, the A$8 ceiling and the countdown all disappear, though the 3× deposit rule still stands before a withdrawal. If you would rather keep the bonus, clear the bulk of it on eligible pokies and save Crazy Time for play with no target attached. Switching to live blackjack changes nothing, as it also counts 10%, while Lightning Roulette counts 25%.

Loyalty points and Crazy Time at VegasNow

Real-money play builds points in our loyalty programme, which climbs through seven Las Vegas-themed levels and lets you swap points for bonus funds in the Loyalty Store. The published earning table names four game types: slots at 1 redeemable and 1 status point per A$25, roulette at 1 point per A$100, and blackjack and baccarat at 1 point per A$250. Game shows have no line of their own, so we do not quote a Crazy Time rate. The figure that applies is the one shown in your account.

The exchange side is published in full. At Golden Glimmer, the entry level, 200 points buy a A$5 bonus, and saving to 2,000 points brings A$60 rather than the A$50 that ten small exchanges would give. Parisian Palace Las Vegas swaps 750 points for A$20, and at Bella Vista, the top level, 100,000 points become A$5,000.

Spending a store bonus on the wheel

Every Loyalty Store bonus comes with 40× wagering. A A$20 bonus from the Parisian Palace row needs A$800 of wagering, which is A$8,000 of Crazy Time stakes, or 1,000 rounds at A$8. On an eligible pokie the same requirement is A$800 of spins. Level thresholds and the Sin City lounge are covered on our VIP page.

Crazy Time and VegasNow weekly reloads

Our weekly calendar has one reload with published headline figures: Lucky 7s Load Up, every Tuesday, matching 77% up to A$77, and repeatable. If it is credited on the default terms, here is how it plays out on the wheel.

StepFigure
Tuesday depositA$50
77% matchA$38.50
Wagering at 40×A$1,540
Crazy Time stakes at 10%A$15,400

The Friday offer, Friday Night Spotlight, gives 40 free spins on that week's featured title for each qualifying Friday deposit, so those spins are played on that title rather than at the wheel. Remember that a Tuesday reload still open on Friday blocks the Friday spins, since only one bonus can be active. Every recurring offer is listed on our weekly promotions page.

Setting a Crazy Time budget before the first spin

Because every round asks for fresh chips within seconds of the last result, the size of your spread decides how long a budget lasts far more than any single outcome does. Pick the evening's amount first, then the spread, and work out how many rounds that buys before any wins come back.

Evening budgetSpread per roundRounds before any return
A$40A$1 on one spot40
A$40A$0.50 on each bonus spot (A$2)20
A$40A$1 on each bonus spot (A$4)10
A$100A$2 on each bonus spot (A$8)12, with A$4 left over

The pattern is worth noticing: covering all four bonus spots at A$1 each burns through a A$40 budget in ten rounds, a few minutes of play. If winnings come back, they are part of the same budget, not a reason to widen the spread. Set the figure as a deposit limit in your account so the decision is made while you are calm, not mid-round.

Playing Crazy Time on mobile with VegasNow

Crazy Time streams inside Safari or Chrome on your phone, and nothing has to be installed. VegasNow has no listing on Apple's or Google's app stores and does not hand out an APK, so a file presented as our app did not come from us. To reach the casino in one tap, save it to your Home Screen: in Safari, use Share and then Add to Home Screen; in Chrome, use the menu and its install or Home screen option. Our app page walks through each step.

A phone screen has to carry a lot here: the video, the betting grid, Top Slot and the history panel. Two habits help. Place chips early in the countdown so a lagging stream cannot cost you the round, and glance at the round total before betting closes, because rapid taps across several spots are the quickest way past A$8 with a bonus running. Live video also asks more of your connection than a pokie, so Wi-Fi suits long sessions better.

Common Crazy Time mistakes at VegasNow

  1. Treating 20,000× as a target. It is the published top of one bonus game, not a result to plan around.
  2. Banking a Top Slot multiplier before the spin. It is worth nothing unless the main wheel stops on that exact spot.
  3. Covering more spots so that something pays. Only one segment wins a round, so every other stake in the spread is collected every time.
  4. Reading the history panel as a pattern. Past spins do not shape the next one.
  5. Expecting full contribution. Game shows count 10%, so a A$3,000 requirement means A$30,000 of stakes.
  6. Tapping past A$8 with a bonus open. Add up the whole spread, not one spot.
  7. Taking a bonus you plan to play off on game shows. Declining it is allowed and often the better fit.
  8. Assuming a bonus-funded big win is all withdrawable. Cash from a single deposit-bonus offer stops at A$5,000.
  9. Withdrawing before the deposit has been played three times. The account terms allow such a request to be refused or charged a fee.

Responsible play with VegasNow game shows

The company operating VegasNow is Just Entertainment B.V. (Curaçao registration 160603), and its Curaçao Gaming Authority licence is numbered OGL/2024/164/0246; anyone can look it up on the licence certificate page. Crazy Time, like everything in our lobby, is for people aged 18 and over.

Game shows are built to hold attention: a presenter, music, a new countdown the moment a round settles. That pace is exactly why a budget set before the first spin matters. Use the deposit limits in your account (they cannot be applied to crypto deposits under our general terms), take regular breaks, and treat the urge to cover more spots after a losing run as the cue to stop. Self-exclusion can be arranged through your account or our support team.

Free, confidential help for Australians is available from Gambling Help Online: ring 1800 858 858 or go to gamblinghelponline.org.au. BetStop handles self-exclusion from Australian-licensed wagering providers; for your VegasNow account, use our own exclusion tools. The responsible gambling page explains each one.

VegasNow Crazy Time: questions and answers

What is the RTP of Crazy Time at VegasNow?

Evolution publishes a range, 94.41% to 96.08%, instead of one number. Over a very long run that averages A$944.10 to A$960.80 back per A$1,000 staked, but no session is promised either figure.

How many segments are on the Crazy Time wheel?

54. They are split between number segments and segments for the four bonus games: Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko and Crazy Time. Each spin stops on just one of them.

What does Top Slot do?

Before each spin it attaches a multiplier, up to 50×, to one bet spot. The multiplier only counts if the wheel then stops on that spot; otherwise it pays nothing.

Can I use the VegasNow welcome bonus on Crazy Time?

Yes. The welcome package covers casino and live-casino play. While it is active, Crazy Time stakes count 10% toward the 40× requirement, the bet ceiling is A$8 and the bonus lasts seven days.

How much does Crazy Time count toward wagering?

10%, the game-show rate in our general bonus terms of 26 February 2024. A A$75 bonus needing A$3,000 of wagering therefore takes A$30,000 of Crazy Time stakes, against A$3,000 on an eligible pokie.

What is the largest published Crazy Time win?

Evolution states the Crazy Time bonus can pay up to 20,000×. With a deposit bonus active, cash from that offer is still capped at A$5,000.

Does Crazy Time earn VegasNow loyalty points?

Points come from real-money play across the programme. The public earning table lists slots, roulette, blackjack and baccarat only, so check the game-show rate in your account. Store exchanges start at 200 points for A$5.

Is there a VegasNow Crazy Time app?

No. There is no store app and no APK from us. Crazy Time plays in Safari or Chrome on your phone, and you can pin the site to your Home Screen so it opens with one tap.
